2014 is an exciting year for Rimmel – we’re turning 180 years YOUNG! Let’s celebrate by taking a trip down memory lane…
We were born when Hyacinthe Rimmel established the House of Rimmel, an exclusive perfumery in the heart of London in 1834.
His son Eugene, an innovator and entrepreneur, quickly increased Rimmel’s popularity through a number of clever inventions, such as scented fans for West End theatre-goers and perfumed Valentine’s Day cards.
A few decades later, came the invention that would revolutionise every woman’s make-up bag…the world’s first non-toxic mascara!
Fast forward 100 years, and our famous tagline ‘Get the London Look’ was born.
Shortly after, supermodel and true London girl Kate Moss became the face of Rimmel, followed by British rock royalty Georgia May Jagger.
But it doesn't stop there – this year, we are collaborating with the hottest Brit singer-songwriter in town, Rita Ora, to launch a limited-edition capsule collection. Look out for it this coming July!
